A blast from the past hits streets on June 19 when ADV begins re-releasing the "Robotech" saga on DVD. And to celebrate this traipse down memory lane, Akadot launches its "Robotech" contest.

Late-twenty-somethings around the world enjoyed this classic anime when it muscled into afternoon cartoon line-ups over fifteen years ago. Rife with deep space battles and narrative complexities, "Robotech" offered something new to a narrow demographic run tired with "Looney Toons" re-runs (a classic in their own right, of course). Now, "Robotech" aims to attract a whole new generation of viewers, viewers who may be able to learn from the anime fans of years gone by.
