Overall: 8.5
Exotic locations (Tangiers, Switzerland etc.). A celebrity cameo (Einstein). New, even more twisted villains. Bareiho disguised as a showgirl. Kidnapping. Sabotage. Our hero rescuing orphans. Orphans attacking our hero. What's not to like?

Story: 8.5
Always building. More armies, more danger, more subplots...and less time remaining in the series for everything to get worked out.

Character Development: 8.0
Bringing back Jack and the orphans provides a natural way to illustrate how much Taishi and Eva have changed, and for how much they have to atone.

Art/Animation: 7.0
The gait and movements of the aliens are particularly otherworldly in these episodes.

Translation: 7.0
No problems with the translations.

Acting: 8.0
Lt. Fujisawa and Colonel Lingelle pull off a mixture of sexual tension and sheer loathing without resorting to grunting and hissing.

MPAA Equivalent: PG-13
When Jack attacks Eva we see a shadowy figure with a glinting blade; we see the blade slicing through the air, then Eva's glasses falling to the ground with a few droplets of blood, and finally we see Eva burying her face in her hands as blood begins to stain her fingers. The attack is dramatic and effective, but the director and artists are careful never to actually show the explicitly violent acts. This perfectly demonstrates their modus operandi for the entire series.

X-Factors

Distance Hemorrhaging Event: 6.0
One of the Nazi soldiers who is attacked by the aliens scores highly in this category.
