Overall: 4.5
Don't fix what ain't broken. Go watch the original "Iczer I" series.
Story: 4.0
Scared but pure-hearted schoolgirl finds the courage to fight when her friends are threatened.
Been there, done that.
Character Development: 3.0
Nagisa is scared, Nagisa is determined, Nagisa kicks ass. That's the complete character arc of
the most developed character in the show. No pun intended. The other characters are walking anime clichés.
Art/Animation: 5.5
The animation is competent, though conventional. Character designs are solid.
Translation: 5.0
"We're bound to protect that which is precious." George Lucas can get away with
cornball lines like these, but we doubt anyone else can-or should.
Acting: 5.0
The actresses do the best they can with what they're given, but no performances are particularly memorable.
MPAA Equivalent: R
Mild violence, nudity.
X-Factors
Pervo-cam: 5.0
The occasional shower scene or panty-shot is one thing-even "Macross" had those-but the constant
use of the lecho-zoom lens weathers even the most determined pubescent teens.
