Overall: 8.0
The best episode yet.
Story: 8.0
The interior lives of animated characters are rarely compelling. They are here.
Subplots involving the police, army and other characters dovetail neatly.
Character Development: 9.0
Absolutely the strength of the episode.
Art/Animation: 7.0
Some nice still shots. The escalators are jumpy, but otherwise all good.
Translation: 7.0
No flaws or mistakes interfere with the story but, as usual, most of the jokes and some
of the flirtation simply sound lame in translation. Each of the characters clearly retains their
own voice in translation, which is a big plus.
Acting: 8.0
Not enough voice actors know how to act tender without sighing or gushing. Kasahara and Masutani do.
MPAA Equivalent: R
Mild nudity, mild profanity, robust violence. A mild R.
X-Factors
