Overall: 7.0
Laced with fanservice, this sci-fi melodrama often loses its sincerity, but intriguing characters and involved combat repent for "Angel's" sins.

Story/Character Development: 7.5
The third DVD reveals much more about the character of Meifon, Valeria and Leon Lau than ever before, at long last tying up some of those pesky loose ends. Though interesting, the story doesn't score for originality.

Art/Animation: 8.0
The repetitive feeling that earlier episodes maintained subsides with the diminished use of the stock footage of the Angel Links ship launching. Otherwise, the art is detailed and the action is smooth and entertaining.

Translation/Acting: 6.5
Both the US and Japanese voice actors are skilled, but the translation leaves something to be desired.

Format: 6.0
Easy to navigate, with chapter selection and sub and dub opinions, along with trailers, credits and textless opening and closing sequences.

MPAA Equivalent: PG-13
The opening credits flash Meifon completely nude, though unarticulated.

X-Factors

Angel in the Centerfold Factor: 10.0
Like with Outlaw Star's Mel, much of the art in this series focuses on Meifon's perfect body. Whenever possible, the animators draw her breasts into the foreground, or make it the focal image entirely. In fact, the strange bat-cat that lives for episodes at a time in her cleavage serves as her sword to increase the number of reasonable breast shots by 200%.

Money Grows on My Family Tree Factor: 10.0
Ever since inheriting the Links Group from her grandfather, Meifon takes every opportunity to flush money down the toilet.
