Daisy chain the drinks by lining up the players in the following order:

Translator

Timer

Sub-titler

Editor

On-looker

Each player has an empty cup to his/her left, from which they will drink, with the exception of the Translator to whose left sit bottles of the finest spirits around. The translator gets to drink straight from the source, a coveted position as will be explained. The on-looker has no cup to his/her right, only a cup to the left into which a vile concoction will soon cascade, as will be explained.

Every 5 minutes, starting with the Translator, the players must pour a portion of his/her drink into the cup to the right. (The Translator pours straight from the bottle of his/her choice and the lucky soul at the very end of the line doesn't have the opportunity to get rid of any drink, regardless of composition, which should encourage everyone moved to participate in fan subbing groups to acquire new skills quickly.)

Drink according to the following rules:

Whenever you catch a spelling error, everyone else must drink from his/her cup.

Whenever you catch an early subtitle, everyone else must drink for the number of seconds it is early. (For example if the subtitle appears 3 seconds before the audio comes on, have the line-up drink for a 3-count.)

Whenever you catch a late subtitle, choose a person to drink for the appropriate number of seconds.

Whenever you catch what might be a translation error, look to the translator. If you are correct the translator must take a shot of your choice. If you are incorrect the Translator pours the drink of his/her choice directly into your cup. If you are the translator, only call errors if you're not nearly drunk enough to be subtitling whatever title ADV hasn't yet picked up.

Whenever the computer, laser disc player or VCR needs to cool off, the players are allowed to go to the bathroom to splash cold water on themselves, urinate or vomit. Players are welcome to urinate or vomit at other times as well, but they must never leave the drinking line.
