Internationally acclaimed manga artist, Santa Inoue, introduces his newest manga series, Tokyo Tribe 2. Famous for his urban influenced drawing style and gritty storylines, Inoue is responsible for hit titles such as Neighborhood 13, Inoue Santa (A Collection of Short Stories), and the classic Tokyo Tribe. Inoue continues his legacy of manga series with his most recent title, Tokyo Tribe 2. Unlike usual manga titles, which are serialized in Japanese comic books, Tokyo Tribe 2 graces the pages of the hip skateboarder fashion magazine, Boon. Due to his artistic family background and love for American hip-hop culture, Inoue has created the ultimate tale of urban life on the rough streets of a Tokyo that is both familiar yet unlike anything ever seen before, and captures the lives and struggles of the gangs that call this city home.

Inoue's character designs featured in Tokyo Tribe 2 bring a new sensation to readers because of his unique yet edgy drawing style, which is not typical of traditional artists. His characters feature a western appearance; yet never lose their Japanese characteristics completely. Merra, the leader of the Wu-Ronz, uses a samurai sword as his weapon choice. Almost living like a samurai warrior, life is never secured and danger lurks behind every corner as turf wars between the rival gangs, "Saru" and "Wu-Ronz," battle for pride, respect and survival. The characters of Tokyo Tribe 2 must constantly deal with hard choices that will change them forever. Loyalty and vengeance cause deep wounds between friends as the story evolves. Inoue portrays his characters in such a way that they may seen to be despicable monsters at first, but turn out to be all too human in the end.

Tokyo Tribe 2 opens up a whole new world for manga fans. With Inoue's eye-catching drawings and heart-stopping storyline, readers will find themselves on the edge of their seats. The storyline will take readers on an emotional roller coaster ride as some parts may make readers laugh, cry, and even cringe. If you are looking for something new and daring, then enter Inoue's Japanese street world of Tokyo Tribe 2.
