Akadot's First Annual Holiday Manga Illustration Contest!
After we received many entries for Akadot's Halloween Drawing Contest, we thought we'd ring in the winter holiday season with our first annual Holiday Manga Illustration Contest! All you have to do is draw your favorite anime or manga characters in a winter holiday scene!
Need ideas? Many people celebrate the holiday season in different ways, so you may want to draw something that reflects the way you enjoy the winter season! Remember, all entries are judged on creativity, originality, and how the theme of the contest is incorporated into your masterpiece! All winners and honorable mentions will be featured on Akadot once the results are announced!
Now for the good stuff... The prizes!
Two lucky grand prize winners will receive an anime DVD Box Set featuring five DVDs (each set is retailed up to a $100.00)! There's no purchase necessary to enter, so what are you waiting for?!
Deadline to enter is December 12, 2003, Friday (Noon - Pacific Standard Time)
Winners will be announced on Monday, December 15 2003. You can send your artwork via e-mail or snail mail. Please remember to include your name, mailing address, and email address along with your entry. Although Manga Academy membership is not necessary, you may also include your nom de plume.

1. You must be a legal resident of the U.S. at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees and agents of Akadot, Digital Manga, Inc., their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and any other prize sponsors (all of the foregoing collectively referred to as "Sponsors and Administrators"), and persons living in the same household are not eligible to participate or win.
2. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. No substitutions, cash equivalents or redemptions will be made, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize package with another prize of equal or greater value in the event that the advertised prize(s) are not available, including cancellation of a scheduled event. Prize winners are solely responsible for any expenses incurred related to the prizes, including but not limited to travel expenses. Any unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. Sponsors will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. Prizes may not be redeemed or exchanged.
3. General Conditions: This contest is governed by the laws of the U.S. By entering and accepting and using the prizes, participants release and hold harmless Sponsors and Administrators and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability. Except where prohibited by law, a winner's acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsors to use such winner's name, address (city and province only), statements, photograph, voice and/or likeness for any advertising and promotional purposes relating to the contest without further compensation, consideration, review or consent.
4. Limitations of Liability: Sponsors and Administrators assume no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, inaccurate or scrambled entries or for any computer, online, network, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors and Administrators which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Akadot reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the cancellation.
5. Privacy: By entering the Contest, participants agree to Sponsors' and Administrators' use of their personal information to administer this Contest and fulfill the prizes.
6. All artwork will not be returned and becomes property of Akadot. Akadot is not responsible for any lost or stolen artwork.
