You get the chance to live the life of a Rock Angel as you help Cloe, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin start their own fashion magazine! The search for the perfect scoop will take you around the globe, where famous places and famous people make for amazing adventures.
The cute dolls that rocked the world back in 2001 with their oversized heads, wide eyes and funky fashion sense have added a Game Boy Advance game to their list of credits, including a handful of full length movies, a television series, a music cd, Pez dispensers and a magazine. The four original Bratz - Cloe, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin - are on a mission to start their own fashion magazine.
It all begins when Jade gets the internship of her dreams at You Thing, a hot fashion magazine. However, she soon discovers her boss Burdine “Birdy” Maxwell, the chief editor, is the devil incarnate. Not only is Burdine nasty and evil, she dresses all in pink! Yuck! Any cool cat on the cutting edge of fashion knows that pink was in style like never. And to make things worse, the Tweevils, the Bratz’s sworn enemies, are working in the office and totally sucking up to Burdine. Kaycee and Kristee are like dumb and dumber meet Laguna Beach, but with bad nose jobs. Jade lasts maybe a day at her job before the Bratz decide to start their own fashion magazine that will put Your Thing to shame.
The game consists of mini games and mini quests as the Bratz search for the perfect scoop. Most of the adventure involves shopping and trying to impress cute guys. Most of the minigames were fun, however some where downright annoying. Hi-tension rhythm was reminiscent of DDR or Beatmania, and the Runaway Dog Game, where you had to listen to a bark and find the right dog, was cute and entertaining. I found all the missions with the skateboard to be annoying. The skateboard was hard to control and the games just lacked the originality and creativity of the others.
Overall, this was a pretty good game. I beat it in less than two hours, but once you complete the story, the game allows you to explore the Bratz City where you can replay all the minigames and shop to your hearts content. While I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone over the age of 15, it is a great game to buy your little sister.
