What is up with Mario these days?! He's starring in just about all the popular sports, and now he's into dancing. In one of his newest titles Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix, Mario is mixing up the Dance Scene with some new moves and lots of new music.
This is not like your DDR for the Playstation or the Xbox. DDR Mario Mix has new features like a Story mode and a Mini-game mode. In the Story mode you play as Mario or Luigi and you must dance, yes dance, your way through various levels to reclaim the Music Keys. The Mini-game mode allows you to play the mini-games that you played in the Story mode any time. And a DDR game wouldnft be complete without a Free-play mode.
Another new feature is the Mush mode. Mush mode adds to the fun factor where you have various things to step on like Goombas. (Yes you can finally stomp on Goombas just like Mario.) There are things that you must also avoid like death charges and spikes.
This game features songs from previous Mario games along with some classical music that have an upbeat mix to them.
This game is fun for the casual DDR player and you can get a nice 30 minute work out or just take it easy with the various difficulty levels. The only downside is the difficulty is not as hard as some of the other DDR games and you can only play as Mario or Luigi.
