"I wanna try sleeping with you" - what would you do if your crush suddenly turned to you and spoke these words? Toru has been hiding his growing feelings for classmate Ryoji, but the friendship takes a strange turn when Ryoji casually remarks that looking at Toru turns him on. Torn between the inability to resist Ryoji's advances and the fear of having his heart broken, Toru struggles to find a way to move on. Can love develop from a purely physical relationship, or is Toru only being used to satisfy Ryoji's curious desire?
Indulge yourself in the wonderful world of Yaoi, where the shojo comic dynamics coexist in harmony with some good old fashioned monkey sex. The "love without sex or sex without love" dilemma surfaces only because of Toru's pure-hearted nature, and his bout between physical pleasure and emotional security is sure to draw the reader's sympathy. Because of the rather serious issue at hand, with the main character constantly in turmoil over his relationship with Ryoji, the story has a solemn quality, with minimal action (outside of the bedroom) and a lot of contemplative inner monologue.
The artwork is simple and has a soft touch, which in effect adds to the solemn atmosphere of the story. Albeit the "Parental Advisory" label on the cover, the sex-scenes are drawn tastefully, and are not as explicit as the warning suggests. Simple with little detail: the artist's style is maintained in depicting what goes on in the bedroom as well.
While the storyline and artwork entail nothing novel, it's a well-written easy read that's sure to satisfy the desires of any Yaoi reader.
