This book not only has a high quality of art but is stunning beyond belief. The pathos and emotions show in the art transcend things like ‘glasses girls’ and ‘moe’ but that kind of aching beauty and complexity which makes you come to view it again and again. It contains all illustrations of Innocent Grey Games since 2005. I was initially put off by the warning of explicit nature as sometimes a book can have a high number of H. illustrations. This was not the case, but the ONLY reason it is 18+ is a 4 page H. comic added at the end. I almost missed a core illustration book in my collection based on that ‘explicit’ warning.. Cartarga, the first section uses purples and nature to depict melancholy to isolation. Nature, or the integrated nature of the top Gardens of Japan, scenes of old Kyoto and Kanazawa backdrop these lush illustrations. The book ranges from Goth loli girls to Yuri some double spreads, most one page, with some pages having two or four pictures on a page, with them clearly individualized (not overlapped, thank goodness). It also finishes with original works of the illustrator, and an interview. If you are looking for great ‘illustration’ and art, not just art from your favorite game, then I highly recommend this artist.
