D'espairsRay: Immortal (CD)

D'espairsRay have been rocking Visual-kei fans since their formation in 1999. With band members HIZUMI (Vocals), Karyu (Guitar), ZERO (Bass) and TSUKASA (DRUMS), D'espairsRay bring a distinctive sound to the Visual-kei scene. Matching their unique visual look, D'espairsRay carries a dark tone to their music.

D'espairsRay music can't be placed in one category. D'espairsRay sound is a mix of heavy, industrial and gothic rock with vocals that alternates between melodious tones to harder growls and screams. Their sound can't be compared to other JRock bands.

Creating a stir since their time at an Indie label, D'espairsRay have accumlated a large dedicated fanbase internationally. Performing abroad is not unfamiliar territory for D'espairsRay as they have performed in Europe and North America. D'espairsRay was the only Japanese band to play at the Wacken Open Air, which is one of the biggest metal festivals in Europe.

Besides rocking out in festivals in Europe, D'espairsRay were also participants in major events including Rockstar's Taste of Chaos Tour in 2008, performing in 34 cities across North America. A year earlier, D'espairsRay was part of the J-Rock Revolution event in Los Angeles. In 2009, D'espairsRay was also part of the largest Visual Kei festival in Japan, the V-Rock Festival.
