acid android: purification

Acid Android is fronted by yukihiro, the drummer of L'Arc~en~Ciel, one of the biggest rock bands from Japan. As part of L'Arc~en~Ciel, yukihiro has been releasing albums in the US since 2004, debuting with the hit album Smile.

As the frontman for acid android, yukihiro exhibits distinctly different musical stylings from L'Arc~en~Ciel. A mix of metal and elcetronic, his solo effort purification is a work entirely his own; yukihiro not only conceived of and composed the majority of the music by himself, he also recorded most of it himself.

Touring in Japan exhaustively in 2006, acid android made a surprise impression on the Japanese music scene with their energetic performances. That reputation has made its way across the Pacific and touched down in the states as American fans of JRock have taken note of the band and clamored for their stateside release.
